| 11.25.03 || A Matter of Business... |
I realise that there are a lot of really cool pictures out there. And I know that I'm billing myself as a great place for you guys to come and find out more info about SVU and read fic and all that. I'm really happy that so many people appreciate the site and the hard work that's gone into it.
I really don't have much of a problem with you guys taking pictures from TCR that have come from public sources (wireimage, rexfeatures, NBC etc) - they are public domain, after all. However, I've seen a few of the screen captures floating around in the avatars of LiveJournal icons, etc. This does bother me to a point because Heather's taken a lot of time to make these and they haven't just come from NBC or Universal or other distributing studios and people are taking them and circulating them as if they're their own.
I know I can't stop anyone from taking them, but I don't really think it's obnoxious to request that you ask to have a screen capture for personal use or to give credit where it's due. There's a good chance that I'll give it to you anyway. But it's just really frustrating to suddenly find people using pictures that have obviously come from your own work. I don't think I need to explain that.
I'm going to leave this up in front of all the updates for a while to make sure everyone reads it. Thanks for taking the time to consider it.

To help along the celebrations, I've made a couple new wallpapers to commemorate SVU's 100th episode. Go on over to the Wallpapers page to request one!
In the wake of all the morning talk show hysteria, I'm very very very excited to see Control. Angstangstangst. Stay tuned for my thoughts (if you care about them) as they'll probably come before the end of the evening. Well the end of my evening anyway.

Forgot to add... I'm planning on adding a Links page to the site instead of just listing links down the side bar. So if you'd like to be included in a TCR Linx page, please send me your website address PLUS the main theme (SVU fanpage? fanfiction archive? actorcentric?) as well as a little button or banner if you have one. I want to make TCR Linx as comprehensive as possible!

SVU News is updated with a new episode title: Escape. More details as I get them. Also, there's another picture from Control, but I warn you up front - I'm pretty sure it's a spoiler. If you look at it, you'll get it. But I haven't hidden it (which is why I told you the episode here in case you don't wish to be spoiled). I don't usually care about most spoilers - I found the pic on the USA Net official site, so I don't really count pictures the studio releases as spoilers. But that's just me - I'm a spoiler whore, I'll admit it.
The Covers page is also updated with a lovely cover (if I do say so myself) for Heathers' gorgeous ficlet series Victims of Circumstance. It's Olivia/Abbie Carmichael and well... we all know how often Abbie appears in fic, so it's a rare find as it is. Check it out - you won't be disappointed.
I'd also like to share my complete and utter jealousy for any of you people who are attending the taping of the John Walsh Show today. I love you all really, but I'll just shake my fist from my frigid apartment up here in Canada. I wanted to offer anyone who happens to be going - if you feel like writing out your experience, I'd like to make a feature or something on TCR for it to help celebrate the 100th ep on Tuesday. So send me an email about it!
That's about all from me so far. I have another hectic weekend of training for my job, so you may not hear from me until Monday. Never fear, I'll always return. I have to. It's a disease.

Remebrance/Veteran's Day today. I'd say Happy, but it's not really. Anyway...
I've uploaded the first part of Confidence - the "sequel" to Origins. There are two other parts ready for uploading, but I'm spreading it out a little because my beta's currently getting her ass kicked at law school, so don't expect the full story until maybe Christmas or thereabouts. However, it is completed, so don't worry about getting attached to a WIP that will never finish. It just might take a little longer.
Abomination airs tonight and I have high hopes for it. I hope they're not dashed, because this could be a really good episode. Of course, really any episode could be really good if treated right.
Oh, also updated SVU News with a tidbit about the John Walsh show.

Apologies for the delay in updates. The SVU world has been kind of slow and I just had a weekend that wiped the floor with me. Thankfully, I have the next three days off, so to anyone who's emailed me in the past 3-4 days regarding wallpapers and buttons, don't worry, I'll get to you soon.
Do hang around, though... I'll have some fic up in the next day or so and all of you will get the first glance!

The L&O Lovelies Are Live!!!
It took me all day and my eyes have code burned into them like a flash after a camera, but they're done. Please take a look at the Lovelies. Because they are just that. If you have anything you think I should add, please tell me.
I've also added another cover to the Covers Page and... I can't remember what else. I'm looking forward to Choice tonight. I hope the guest stars don't fuck it up. Stay tuned for my thoughts!

Been busy today. Added two new pages: Fic book covers and Link to TCR!. The former will showcase the covers I've done for a few fanfiction stories as well as include links to them. The Linking page is for anyone wishing to link to TCR can grab one of two buttons, or a banner. I may or may not add to these in the future.
I've also added a new archive as you probably noticed. In the interest of keeping the main page fairly tidy, I'll be moving the news bits to the archive each month.
I've added a list of things to include in any wallpaper requests you might have, as well. And numbered the walls to save headaches in case there's some kind of miscommunication :)
I've been neglecting the Lovelies, but fear not, they will be done!

Took out the extra counters I had in there. Apparently they were causing some popup issues that I was unaware of since I use Mozilla which takes away most popups. Anyway, should load much smoother now.
Apologies for that.
