He knew she was lonely, even sad sometimes. She never came out and said it but he knew. The solution was simple: a blind date.
It was perfect, brilliant even. There’d be no touchy-feely talk, he’d set her up and she’d know he was okay with it.
The morning after he arrived early, warm donuts and gourmet coffee in hand, eager to see her smile. He checked his watch—right on time.
“We need to talk.”
